Die Firma Almost Skateboards wurde 2003 von Daewon David Song, einem Amerikaner mit koreanischen Wurzeln und John Rodney Mullen in den USA gegründet. Beide sind Ausnahmetalente im street skateboarding, was Mullen auch den Namen „Godfahter of Street Skateboarding“ in der Szene einbrachte und den Einzug in die Skateboarding Hall of fame. Song wurde 2006 vom Thrasher Magazin zum Skateboarder des Jahres ernannt. Die Herren wissen was sie tun!

Dr. Seuss, der legendäre Illustrator von „Cat in the hat“, dem "Grinch" und "Horten hört ein Hu" steht Pate für die aktuelle Skateboardserie, die genau wie er selbst Kultstatus genießt. Ergänzt wird das Design Portfolio durch ein Deck für das Max Geronzi verantwortlich zeichnet. Es ist eine Hommage an den typischen Shape des 80er Jahre Skateboardings. Ein Video aufgenommen vom Thrasher Magazin namens Max Geronzi “Back to the `80s” (siehe unten) Part zeigt sein ganzes Können und untermalt es mit passendem Sound aus der Zeit. Ebenfalls von Thrasher gedreht ist der Kurzfilm Youness Amrani´s „Comfort Zone“ Part. Ein inspirierender Film über herausragende Fahrkünste von denen man nicht genug bekommen kann. Wir sind gespannt, was in Zukunft noch Großartiges zu sehen sein wird! Ein Skateboard mit Almost design ist immer etwas Besonderes!
