Die Besonderheit an dieser Marke und somit das Markenzeichen, bilden die hochwertigen Chocolate Decks mit ihren Grafiken, die in Erinnerung bleiben. Trotzdem sind natürlich das einflussreiche Chocolate Skate Team und die dazugehörigen Video Klassiker nicht zu vergessen.Wie alles angefangen hat:
Im Jahr 1994 startete Chocolate als Schwesterunternehmen von Girl Skateboards. Chocolate wuchs unter Crailtap zu einer festen Größe heran. Der Unterschied zwischen Girl Skateboards und Chocolate war relativ einfach. Bei Girl Skateboard standen die Profis unter Vertrag und bei Chocolate wurden von Chico Brenes vielversprechende Talente zusammengesammelt. Dabei sollte aus dem Namen „Chocolate“ beinahe „Sisters“ werden. Da Steve Rocco, der Rivale und Eigentümer der damaligen World Industries, sich allerdings die Rechte an dem Namen „Sisters“ sicherte, entstand also der Name „Chocolate Skateboards“. Steve Rocco sicherte sich übrigens nur die Rechte, um der Crew von Girl Skateboards, mit Rick Howard und Mike Carroll, eins auszuwischen. Auf den Decks von Chocolate waren über die Jahre bis heute schon einige bekannt Namen unterwegs, wie z. B. Gino Ianucci, Stevie Williams, Marc Johnson, Paulo Diaz oder Keenan Milton. Ebenfalls seit Jahren, wird Chocolate als eine große Inspiration in der Skate-Szene angesehen.Teamverstärkung
Das Team, welches bis zum Jahr 2014 aus Kenny Anderson, Chico Brenes, Justin Eldridge, Jesus Fernandez, Raven Tershy und Chris Roberts bestand, erweiterte sich kurz vor dem 20-jährigen Jubiläum.
