Technical refinements and special features
With a width of 8.98 inches, this deck offers a great platform for those who need more stability and a larger landing area - perfect for transition skating, pool sessions and for larger skaters. The 7-ply 100% North American maple construction is tough and durable, while the mild camber and steep kick help you take your tricks to the next level.
- Transition/Vert: More stability, larger landing area and better balance for ramps, bowls and steep descents.
- Cruising/Old-School: Greater comfort, optimal foot position and easier old-school tricks.
- Larger skaters: Better fit and more even weight distribution for skaters with larger shoe sizes.
- Pool skating: More control and powerful pumping in bowls.
- Note that extra-wide skateboard decks may be less suitable for technical street tricks, but offer unique riding comfort.

Opera
Opera Skateboards is the brand founded in 2023 by Bill Weiss (skate industry veteran, ex-Madness) under the Sidewalk Distribution umbrella — born from the collapse of Dwindle. Weiss teamed up with Louie Barletta (ex-Enjoi), Bod Boyle and Steve Douglas to build Sidewalk Distribution, which carries Opera alongside Slappy Trucks and Jacuzzi Unlimited.
Heritage — out of the ruins of Dwindle
After the collapse of Dwindle Distribution (long-time home of Enjoi, Madness, Blind, Cliché), Bill Weiss launched Sidewalk Distribution in 2023. Opera is his own brand inside that structure. The name comes from Weiss's inspiration around opera as "a performance of one" — a poetic metaphor for the deeply personal yet communal nature of skateboarding.
Which Opera products fit which skater?
- Opera Pro Decks — classic popsicle shapes 8.0–8.5 inch. Pro models from team riders Jesse Silva, Nassim Lachhab, Josh Douglas.
- Opera Brand & Logo Decks — base lineup with the Opera brand identity.
- Opera Apparel — t-shirts, hoodies, caps with Opera branding.
