As Powell-Peralta lost substance in the early 90s, Jim Thiebaud and Tommy Guerrero (both ex-Powell pros) founded Real Skateboards in 1991. The brand became part of the Deluxe Distribution universe in SF, which today also covers Spitfire, Anti Hero, Krooked and Thunder.
