1 Sheet Slip Tape 9" x 31.75" Slip Tape is a new coating that dramatically improves deck performance during slides. It's a griptape-like film that's only 25 thousandths of an inch thick (0.025") and works roughly like Ptex - the stuff most people know as the undercoating on snowboards and skis. Basically, it's just clear plastic, but has a slightly milky tint to it. It's applied just like grip tape, only to the underside of the board. But be careful - this stuff sticks like a pig! You should have some experience with applying griptape and make sure it sits cleanly and without air bubbles the first time, because once it sticks, you can't get it off your deck without taking some layers of paint down with it! Slip Tape makes your deck a bit smoother than normal varnished wood - but not deadly slippery - which makes slides much easier, faster and further. It also stabilizes your board and protects the graphics from scratches. Even after the wildest stunts, your board will look as good as new. The secret of Slip Tape is the super dense molecular structure of the polymer it is made of. This means there are virtually no cracks or scratches in the film, which stays nice and smooth.
